The first live TV broadcast of the 11 a.m. worship service took place on Sunday, June 21, 1987. It was broadcast over the local cablevision on channel 24. It was the first live church service broadcast in Richmond County and the second live broadcast of any kind within the county. The church worked for 12 years planning and preparing for the live broadcast, according to Charles Sauls, a church member and head of the broadcast ministry at that time. In addition to the TV broadcast of the worship service, the Ledbetter Men's Bible Class transmits over the local radio station WAYN. It was Rockingham's first broadcast ministry and began in 1946 when the radio station signed on the air.
