First United Methodist Church Becoming a House of Prayer
Ministry within the church:

Prayer Room Ministry
Prayer Room Prayer volunteers commit to come to the church and pray for one hour or one half hour a week on the same day at the same time each week.

To Pray For:
1. First United Methodist Church Family's personal requests and community and beyond.
2. Those in authority in our city, county, state, nation and beyond.
3. UNSAVED

"Is anyone among you afflicted? He should pray...And the prayer of faith will save the sick...pray for one another...The earnest prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available..."
~ James 5:13-16 AMP
"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving be made for everyone--for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth"
~I Timothy 2:1-4 NIV

Hedge Prayer Ministry
Volunteers pray for church service between Sunday School and Worship Service in the prayer room. They pray a "hedge" of protection around First United Methodist worship service, staff, congregation and TV audience. The commitment is to meet and pray with another intercessor Sunday morning 10:30 - 10:50 am, on Sunday a month.

"Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has."
~ Job 1:10
"Prayer is the highest use to which speech can be put." ~ Billy Graham
"For my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations" ~ Isaiah 56:7 NIV

~ 1 Timothy 2:1 NIV
